Speaker tips.
Know your audience
Consider the theme
This year we’re highlighting work related to accessibility, robotics, edtech with AI & ML, and enterprise. If your talk doesn’t fit into those themes, we’d still love to hear from you! Past talks have included demos of products using Blockly, new plugins, cool customizations, or anything else you think our audience might appreciate.
Don't dive too deep
If your talk is technical, it’s great if you have code available for viewers who want to take a deeper look after your talk. But it’s probably too much for a short lightning talk if you have significant amounts of code in your slides.
Give us context
The audience may or may not already be familiar with your product or application. If you’re showing off a new feature or plugin you’ve made, be sure to also show us how it fits into your overall product and how it has been useful to your users.
Get interactive
Presentations that include demos (live or recorded) have been the most engaging! It’s easier to show us what you built than tell us about it.
